Unconditional, the movie

Unconditional is a film you don’t want to miss—unless you’re scared of having your heartstrings pulled on that is. And it’s in theaters this weekend.

Unconditional is a story of tragedy and redemption drawn from the true-life testimony of Papa Joe Bradford from Tennessee but also focusing on Samantha Crawford and the untimely and unresolved death of her husband, Billy.

Sam’s idyllic life as a promising writer and gifted artist, and as a much-in-love young wife on a ranch in Tennessee, is smashed to pieces by the murder of her husband, Billy—a tragedy that rips away her faith and her very will to live.

Rescued - The Heart of Adoption and Caring for Orphans

Rescued – The Heart of Adoption and Caring for Orphans is now formally one of my favorite films with its powerful, soul-probing, tear-jerking message—and its backdrop question: What would a church that obeys James 1:27 look like?

The dilemma of a growing orphan population is one that is not widely discussed in the average church. On the contrary, it is little talked about. And therefore adoption as a way to end the orphan crisis is barely discussed either—even though adoption is the heart of the Gospel message.

Yet, over 160 million children in the world are without any parents.  And America boasts the stunning figure of some144,000 boys and girls in foster care needing to be adopted.

Through some candid and inspiring interviews with adoptive families, Rescued – The Heart of Adoption and Caring for Orphans highlights the call to serve the fatherless, the hard-core realities of what it involves and the addresses the following questions:

Is God asking me personally to adopt? How can I know?
Do I have what it takes to adopt?
Will I love an adopted child the same as a biological child?

Somebody's Child

Somebody’s Child, another faith-centered GMC TV world première film, recounts the compelling story of a family battling life’s tests with a long-kept secret in the mix.

Let's just say that...those who enjoyed Raising Izzie will love Somebody’s Child—a drama cozily wrapped in family values with redemption at the core.  (I know, just a wee teaser. You need to read the full review for more.)
