Love & Respect in the Family

Just when you think there’s nothing more to read about parenting and family, a new book comes along to prove you wrong. Love & Respect in the Family by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs (Thomas Nelson, Nov '13) is one such book.

In Love & Respect in the Family, best-selling author and family relationship expert, Dr. Eggerichs approaches family dynamics from a slightly different angle than most. He suggests focuses on respect and making it a major component in family relationship. Respect makes a person (especially a child) feel valued. Feeling valued then translates into feeling loved.

Coming out in time for Christmas shopping -- and makes a great gift. Read my full review in The San Diego Christian Perspectives Examiner.  And in Assist News Service.

Everyone struggles with areas of bitterness and unforgiveness (don't they?). But bitterness to parents is the worst--especially if there's just cause to be bitter.

Forgiving Our Fathers and Mothers by Leslie Leyland Fields (Thomas Nelson, January 2014) brings a refreshing stance to this all-important matter of forgiving our parents--no matter how badly they may have wounded us.
